Polypropylene fibre for concrete crack prevention

Monofilament polypropylene fibre dispersed through the mix — it holds concrete together through its weakest 24 to 72 hours, when plastic shrinkage cracks form.

Use it for

  • Controlling plastic shrinkage in fresh concrete
  • Preventing micro-cracks as concrete cures
  • Binding cement and sand to stop the mix segregating
  • Adding to the final layer of mortar in plastering

Why this one

  • Stops shrinkage cracks forming
Controls moisture loss in the first 24 to 72 hours, when concrete is most vulnerable
  • Avoids micro-cracks
Fibre holds the matrix together as it hydrates
  • Resists explosive spalling
Improved performance under fire and thermal shock
  • Tougher concrete
Greater impact, abrasion, and shatter resistance
  • Less segregation
Binds cement and sand so the mix stays homogeneous
  • Very high tensile strength
Over 500 MPa in a 6 mm monofilament
